1908 Born in Tokyo
1923(15) Went to Berlin. Studedunder Max Rabes, German imperial chamber aft staff.
1925(17) Entered Berlin state art school.

1930(22) Graduated from the school, decorated with a gold medal. Returned to Japan.
1932(24) Sent his work to the 8th Pacific Ocean Exhibition. Won an award in an open entry in Japan for the first time.
1933(25) Won an award of Kofukai in the 20th Kofukai exhibition. Became its member.

1934(26) Got a studio in Kugahara in Omori ku. Interacted with Gen-ichiro Inakuma and Saburo Hasegawa.
1936(28) Formed "New Creation Sect Association" together with 8 coteries including Gen-ichiro Inakuma, Ryouhei Koiso.
Sent "Jazz band", "Dance" and "2 people" to the first New creation school exhibition.
Since then, kept sending his work until today.

1943(35) Worked in Manila Army News Service in Philippine.
Returned to Japan for inland communication in 1944.
1945(37) The studio was burned in the war raid. Lost most of his pre-war works.
Evacuated in group to the vicinity of the Sagami Lake in Kanagawa until 1949.
In 1949, moved to live in a house with a studio in Setagaya,
1955(47) "Strife (arasoi)" won the grand prix in the third Japan International Art Exhibition.

1956(48) Sent his work to the 28th Venetian Biennale.
"Strife" won the Japan National Award in the first Guggenheim International Award.
Being invited by personnel interaction division of US State Department, visited cities in the United States
and interacted with artists in the United States. After that, stayed in New York and Paris for long time.
Started to teach at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music
1951(53) Sent his work to the first San Paulo biennale.
In 1952, joined Salon de me in Paris, and Pittsburgh International exhibition.
1962(54) Made a trip to India, Middle East, Africa, Europe and the U.S.A with his eldest son.

1964(56) Became an assistant professor at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music
Became a professor in 1968.
1966(58) Went to the United States. Traveled in Mexico.
1970(62) Retired from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music
1973(65) Remodeled the studio in Setagaya

1977(69) Went and stayed in Hawaii to rest. Had a heart bypass operation in Hawaii in 1979.
1986(78) Exhibition of Kazu Wakita (Kanagawa prefectural Modern Art Museum, Gunma prefectural Modern Art Museum).
1987(79) Visited Dallas, New York, Paris, Berlin, Munich, D?sseldorf, etc.
1991(83) Opened "Wakita Museum" in Karuizawa. Awarded the 4th Grade Asahi Small Medal.
1995(87) Permanent gallery of works of Kazu Wakita opened in the head office of Dai-ichi Mutual Life Insurance Company Building in Hibiya.
