WAKITA MUSEUM OF ART

HEARTLAND KARUIZAWA DRAWING BIENNALE 2007 Entry Guidance

Trough its simple and straightforward taste, fresh but profound aftertaste, and visual perception by its impressive design of green bottle, "HEARTLAND beer" enriches and satisfies our heart with joy of tasting. "HEARTLAMD" builds its concept in seeing the value in substance itself which is free from time, superficial fashion and existing framework. HEARTLAND is the mother earth of "heart" = abundant harvest that the earth and trees bring. HEARTLAND advocates richness and deepness of "heart" in tasting beer.
We have centered around the theme of artistic sensibility that "HEARTLANAD beer" carries to hold the first (2003) and the second (2005) exhibitions with works publicly recruited, Each time, numerous high-quality artworks were sent from across the nation, and we were touched by a variety of sensibility as well as experiencing more favorable repercussion through exhibitions.
Therefore in the third "HEARTLAND KARUIZAWA DRAWING BIENNALE 2007", we would like to hold an exhibition considering HEARTLAND brand's awareness to "essence" as an important keyword at its 20th anniversary.
Drawing; that is "essence" from which creation of all the people engaged in creative work originates.
We want various graphical works fusing HEARTLAND beer (where "essence" is alive) with art.
We look forward to your application with your work with high motivation and fresh sensibility.
("Drawing" in this case is a term for "essence" which is the starting point for expression, thus we don't just recruit for sketches alone. You have freedom to express yourself in any art form such as photo, collage, oil painting, watercolor, silkscreen, lithograph, and sketches, etc.), We look forward to your application with your works reflecting high motivation and fresh sensibility.
